Teachers’ Recruitment Board (TRB), Tripura (TRBT) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 700 Graduate Teacher posts (for Class IX-X) through the Selection Test for Graduate Teacher (STGT) - 2025 under the Secondary Education Directorate, Education (School) Department, Government of Tripura. Graduate Teacher (Secondary) (STGT) Classes IX-X
No. of posts: 700 [UR: 364, SC: 119 & ST: 217]
Essential Qualification:
Graduate/Post Graduate from recognised university with at least 50% marks in either graduation or postgraduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution.
OR
Graduate/Post Graduate from recognised university with at least 45% marks in either graduation or postgraduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution {in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course or training) Regulations 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.2007}.
OR
Four (4) years degree of B. A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution.
Equivalency of Degree: Equivalency of Degrees (Graduation, Post Graduate etc) will be ascertained by Equivalence Committee formed by Education (School) Department, for example whether or not M.Sc. Nuclear Physics is equivalent to M.Sc. Physics will be determined by Equivalence Committee. Candidates claiming equivalency of degree(s) will be allowed provisionally to appear in the Selection Test for Graduate Teacher (STGT) 2025. Such candidate must apply to the Board (TRBT) within 22nd October, 2025 along with self-attested photocopy of the Mark sheets of the degree(s) for which the candidate is claiming equivalency. Applications thus received will be forwarded to the Equivalence Committee for decision and decision of Equivalence Committee will be final.
Other Details of TRB Tripura Recruitment 2025
Salary: Rs.20,475/- (Level-9) of the Tripura State pay matrix 2018.
Age limit:
# The upper age limit is 40 years as of 29.08.2025.
# Relaxation of 5 years is allowed for SC/ST/PH candidates and Government Servants, provided that SC/ST/PH government employees do not receive additional relaxation beyond the general 5 years.
# Age relaxation is also applicable for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) as per the prescribed norms.
Question Pattern:
The STGT 2025 question paper will consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. Candidates are required to shade the correct answer from the four options provided in the Question Booklet.
- No negative marking will be applied.
- The question paper will be in English and Bengali.
- The OMR Answer Sheet and instructions will be provided in English only.

How to Apply? – STGT 2025 (Graduate Teacher, Class IX-X)
Registration:
- Existing TRBT candidates can use their login ID & password.
- New candidates must register with a unique email ID on TRBT Official Website “Apply Online”.
- Note down your Registration Number for future reference.
Login & Profile Update:
- Login using Registration Number/email ID and password.
- Update profile with all relevant personal, academic, and professional details.
Upload Documents:
- Passport-size photograph: JPG/JPEG, max 100 KB.
- Full signature: JPG/JPEG, max 60 KB.
- Ensure images are clear and legible; discrepancies may lead to rejection.
Select Test Details:
- Apply under “Selection Test for Graduate Teacher (Class IX-X) – 2025”.
- Select subject specialization: Social Science / Biological Science / Physical Science (cannot be changed later).
Enter Academic Details:
- Fill in all academic and professional qualifications correctly.
- For CGPA, convert to exact percentage up to 2 decimal points.
Edit & Finalize:
- You can edit your application before final submission.
- Once finalized, no further edits are allowed.
Payment of Fees:
- Pay online via Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- Do not share payment credentials; TRBT is not responsible for fraud due to sharing.
- Only online payment through the official link is accepted.
Acknowledgement & Payment Slip:
- After successful payment, print the Acknowledgement Page.
