The Central Library of the National Institute of Technology Agartala (an Institute of National Importance) invites applications from young, dynamic, tech-savvy, highly motivated, and committed fresh postgraduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities, with consistently good academic records, to serve as Library Professional Trainees (Fixed Period Internship).

Post Name: Library Professional Trainee (LPT)
No. of posts: 05 (Five)
Qualification: Candidates must have secured First Division in Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc) from recognized Indian universities. Applicants must have passed the MLIS or equivalent examination in the year 2024 or 2025. However, those awaiting results before the date of the written exam/skill test and interview may also apply, but they must produce the final marksheet of MLIS at the time of the written exam/skill test and interview as proof of having passed the examination with First Division. Candidates who passed the MLIS or equivalent examination prior to 2024 are not eligible to apply.
Essential Skill Requirements: (i) Working knowledge of computer applications and library management/digital library software. (ii) Good writing skills.
Responsibilities:
# To perform all works associated with the library.
# To work in shifts, including night shifts.
# To work six days a week and on holidays, on a rotation basis.
Salary: Rs.20000/- per month.
Age limit: Not exceeding 27 years.
Selection: The selection of candidates will be based on a written test/skill test followed by a personal interview.
