Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), East Coast Railway (ECoR) has invited online applications for engagement of Act Apprentices for the training year 2026-2027. A total of 1,599 Apprentice Training Slots are available across various divisions and workshops of East Coast Railway. Eligible candidates who have passed Class 10th and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade can apply online before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 15 and 24 years of age as on 15/09/2026. Age Relaxation for Upper age relaxation is applicable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, and for Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.
  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) under the 10+2 system with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
  • Technical Qualification: Candidates must possess an ITI Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant designated trade.
  • Lab Technician (Pathology): Candidates must have passed 12th Class with Science stream (PCB) with at least 50% marks in both Class 10th and 12th.
  • Important Note: Engineering graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible for this Apprentice recruitment.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC/EWS Male Candidates: ₹100/-
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Women Candidates: No Fee
  • Payment Mode: Online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.

Selection Process

  • Merit-Based Selection: The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (Class 10th).
  • No Written Examination: There will be no written test or viva-voce for selection.
  • Tie-Breaking: In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be preferred.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification at East Coast Railway Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, followed by medical fitness verification.
  • Railway Level-1 Benefit: Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) will receive 20% preference in open-market Railway Level-1 recruitment, as per applicable rules.

  6. Submit the application form and download the final confirmation page.
  7. Keep a printed copy of the submitted application for future reference and Document Verification.
