The Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports (YAS), Tripura, has invited applications for the recruitment of Head Coach – Judo at Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE), Badharghat, Agartala, under the Khelo India Scheme. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil any one of the eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification.
Educational Qualification and Experience
Option 1: Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS NIS or any other Indian/Foreign University, representation of India in the Olympic Games, World Cup or World Championship, and a certificate course from the concerned National/International Federation. Working knowledge of computers and a minimum of 10 years of coaching experience in Athletics are required.
OR
Option 2: Coaching experience with Senior/Junior Indian Teams and the specified Dronacharya, Arjuna or Dhyan Chand Award-related credentials, including production of medal winners in international competitions. Any Graduation along with ASCA Level-1 or above/CSCS/UK SCA accredited coach/ Diploma in Fitness Training/Certificate Course in Fitness Training from a Government Institution is required. Minimum 10 years of coaching experience in Judo is also required.
OR
Option 3: Central Government, State Government and PSU employees may apply. Applicable DoPT recruitment rules will apply for deputation.
OR
Option 4: Permanent employees of Sports Authority of India (SAI) must follow the separate application procedure mentioned in the notification. Contractual SAI employees must apply directly to KISCE.
Age Limit
Candidates must not have attained 65 years of age as on the closing date of application.
Salary
Selected candidates for the post of Head Coach – Judo will receive remuneration of Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,50,000 per month.
Job Responsibilities
The selected Head Coach will be responsible for the following activities:
- Planning and conducting training programmes for athletes.
- Evaluating performance and providing feedback.
- Developing athletes' skills, fitness and techniques.
- Maintaining training and performance records.
- Coordinating with coaches, physiotherapists, doctors and nutritionists.
- Preparing athletes for competitions and improving performance.
Selection Process
Applications will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on relevant experience and job requirements. Only eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at their own cost.
