Eligibility Criteria for ICG CGEPT
1. Qualification:
Navik (General Duty): Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Hygienist-I: Matriculation OR Industrial Training Institute (ITI) OR equivalent from Board of Education recognised by the Central/State Government.
Yantrik: Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) AND Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/ Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) AND Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/ Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)
2. Age limit:
- Navik (GD) for 01/27 & 02/27 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Nov 2005 to 01 May 2009.
- Yantrik for 01/27 batch Candidate should be born between 01 May 2005 to 01 May 2009.
- Navik (DB) for 02/27 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Nov 2005 to 01 Oct 2009.
- Hygienist-I for 02/27 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Nov 2002 to 01 Oct 2009.
Selection Procedure
The selection of candidate is based on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV (explained in detail in subsequent paras), meeting the laid down medical standards during medical examination and the number of vacancies available for the post in respective batch. Qualification in Stage-I, II, III, IV is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. The selection of candidates for the post of Yantrik will be only for CGEPT-01/27 and for Nvk (DB) & Hygienist-I will for CGEPT-02/27.

Stage-IV
Stage-IV shall comprise verification/authentication of original educational and other documents submitted during Stage-III with the concerned Boards/Universities/State Government authorities. Candidate will be terminated from service if documents are reported as not genuine by respective Boards/Universities/State government.
Examination Fee
Candidates (except for candidates entitled and desirous of applying in vacancies for SC/ST category, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 550/- through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/Master/Maestro/Debit Card/UPI. E-admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled for waiver of examination fee.

How to Apply for ICG CGEPT?
- Visit the official recruitment portal at ssc.gov.in and complete the registration process.
- Login using your registered E-mail ID and mobile number and fill out the online application form.
- Select only one post and enter all required details carefully.
- Upload the required documents, including photograph, signature, Date of Birth proof, identity proof and domicile certificate, as applicable.
- Upload the required educational and category documents during Stage-II if shortlisted.
- Pay the applicable examination fee and submit the application before 21 October 2026 (5:30 PM).
- Verify all details and uploaded documents carefully before final submission.
- Save or print a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
Important: Candidates must keep their registered E-mail ID and mobile number safe, as they will be required to access the candidate dashboard, download the e-admit card and check results.
