AGMC Recruitment Details
1. Post Name: Research Scientist-B (Medical)
- No. of Post: 01 (One)
- Salary: ₹67,000/- + HRA as admissible.
- Age Limit: Upper age limit 35 years.
2. Post Name: Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
- No. of Post: 01 (One)
- Salary: ₹18,000/- (Consolidated).
- Age Limit: Upper age limit 40 years.
Eligibility Criteria for AGMC
1. Qualification
Research Scientist-B (Medical):
- MD in Microbiology from a recognised university with permanent registration with the National Medical Commission or State Medical Council.
- Experience in molecular diagnosis of viral infections (RT-PCR, ELISA), handling of clinical samples in a BSL-2 laboratory, and research publications.
MTS:
- 12th pass with science or equivalent from a recognised Board.
- Experience of working in a laboratory or hospital.
- Basic computer knowledge.
2. Job Responsibilities
Research Scientist-B (Medical)
- Perform and supervise diagnostic testing of clinical samples for viral pathogens by molecular (conventional and real-time PCR) and serological (ELISA, rapid tests) methods.
- Verify and authorize test reports, and maintain quality control and quality assurance records as per NABL/ISO 15189 requirements.
- Participate in outbreak investigation, sample collection and surveillance activities in coordination with State health authorities and ICMR.
- Upload test data to ICMR/DHR portals and prepare monthly and annual progress reports.
- Supervise technical staff, enforce biosafety and biomedical waste management practices in the laboratory.
- Contribute to research activities, data analysis and preparation of manuscripts.
- Any other duty assigned by the Principal Investigator/Head of Department.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
- Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory, workbenches and equipment area.
- Wash, decontaminate and sterilize glassware and reusable items.
- Segregate, autoclave and dispose of biomedical waste as per BMW Rules, 2016.
- Receive and transport samples, files and consumables within the institution.
- Assist technical staff in day-to-day laboratory work and stock handling.
- Any other duty assigned by the Principal Investigator/laboratory in-charge.
3. Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on educational qualifications and relevant experience.
- Written Test, if required.
- Skill Test, depending on the post.
- Document Verification.
- Final selection by the Selection Committee/Competent Authority.

- Class X Admit Card/Certificate as proof of Date of Birth.
- Mark sheets and certificates of all qualifications from Class X onwards.
- Medical Council Registration Certificate (Research Scientist-B (Medical)).
- Experience Certificate and NOC from the present employer, if applicable.
- Aadhaar Card.
- List of publications with first-page copies (Research Scientist-B (Medical), if applicable).
